Thorndon Timetable

Posted on: 1 July 2017

From next Monday we move to Thorndon pool. The timetable runs from July 3rd-August 28th including the same sessions through the school holidays. It would be great to see all Pirates use the 2 week school holiday to give their swimming a boost and get to all the sessions available for their squad.

Swimming outdoors will be a new, exciting experience for the swimmers (and coaches). Obviously we will have the weather to deal with but please be assured the pool is waiting for us nice and warm!

Some tips for Thorndon

- Wear a swim cap. We lose most of our heat from our heads

- The sessions are on rain, shine, snow or hail. At 28 degrees the swimmers wont be getting cold.

- Make sure your swimmers have jackets, beanies, gloves, scarfs etc to come to and to leave the pool in.

- Swimmers need to take their gear bags from Karori pool at the end of this week. We'll have storage for them at Thorndon.

- Feel free to buy your coach a hot coffee!
