Membership Form

If you wish to join the Pirates competitive swim squad you need to discuss your placement in a swim squad with , the club's Head Coach.

Karori Pirates Membership for 2012-2013 year.

Competitive swimmers

The annual Karori Pirates Swimming Club Inc membership is payable on enrolment with the Club AND with enrolment into a competitive swimming squad offered by Axel Levine (Piranha Swimming). Joining the Club and joining Piranha’s squads means that you will also be registered with Swimming Wellington (SW) and pay their annual fee and we are obliged to collect their fee for them and register swimmers on their database. Their full annual registration fee is payable regardless of when you join.  The Karori Pirates component is reduced if you join in the second half-year. Competitive swimming membership enables swimmers to attend the many swimming meets which are held during the year.

There are three fee structures depending on when you join.

  • Joining between 1 July 2012 and 31 August 2012  - Total annual registration fee $202.50, giving 12 months Swimming Wellington registration from 1 September 2012.

  • Joining between 1 September 2012 and 31 January 2103 -  Total annual registration $202.50, giving 7 months Swimming Wellington registration from 1 February 2013.

  • Joining between 1 February 2013 and 31 May 2013 - Second half-year joining fee $142.50, giving 3 months Swimming Wellington registration from 1 June 2013.

Note these two fee structures  EXCLUDE a tee shirt and swim cap which the coach requires be worn at swim meets.  Note they also EXCLUDE the coaching fees which are additional and must be paid to Piranha Swimming separately. All Karori Pirates swimmers in the Stingray, Electric Eel, Seahawk, Hammerhead and Tigershark squads must be registered as competitive swimmers, whether or not they choose to compete. Contact Head Coach regarding his squad coaching fees.

When you join or renew your membership you will need to complete two forms:

  • – for every swimmer complete and submit this form on-line.

  • Swimming NZ Form - for every swimmer AND qualified official (timekeeper, IOT, JOS, referee, starter or Team Manager who manages meets run by SW or SNZ) must  print, complete, sign, scan and email this form to   or post to Race Secretary, Karori Pirates Swimming Club,PO Box 22244 Khandallah.

Once you have submitted these forms please wait for an invoice to be sent to you before making payment.  The invoice will set out the payment requirements.  Please note that your membership registration occurs on the date that this invoice is paid.
