Fundraising for Samantha Lucie-Smith
Hi everyone
Our daughter Samantha Lucie-Smith swims for the Club. She trains 9 times a week with Steve. She is currently the 16/Over Club Champion. She recently attended the Commonwealth Games Trials in Auckland at Easter and came home with a Gold, Silver and 2 Bronze Medals. She has now been selected for the New Zealand Team to travel to Samoa (in June) to attend the Oceania Swimming Championships and to Hawaii (in August) to attend the 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships.
The costs associated with both trips are significant and we are fundraising in order to get Samantha to these events. We have been able to organise wine sales through Sileni and Redmetal Wines from the Hawkes Bay. Samantha will recieve a percentage of each sale of wine to go towards the cost of the trip.
Attached is an order form for a selection of Sileni and Redmetal Wines. You can order a mixture of wines in 1/2 dozen or dozen lots.
Regards
Philippa & Nigel Lucie-Smith
Coaches Corner
Well done to all swimmers and parents last weekend. After a slow start Saturday we had a great Sunday and finished the weekend very well. Stacks of medals from a number of swimmers, and two Wellington records to Ted Taylor. Now we need to be even better this weekend.
